MFIP members can customize the “product” they receive according to their needs. There are various membership types that provide different levels of information to meet the specific needs of an organization. For example, a broker-dealer that requires fee and expense data to support their sales function can purchase a membership that includes the ability to select specific data elements and export them in various formats. In addition, reports can be generated and saved on a user-determined frequency. To assist members in customizing products and integrating them into their own environments, ITP has created two support groups to provide the level of assistance required. These groups are the Customer Support Center and the Technical Resources Center.

Services

The Customer Support Center (CSC)

Documents are received from the SEC on-line in real time 24/7, 365 days a year. The MFIP operates and is available on the same basis as does CSC. CSC assists members as they use the MFIP by providing training and addressing data or document retrieval issues. There is no additional cost to the member for this service.

The Technical Resource Center (TRC)

Most data vendors provide a data file and leave it to the user to build an interface to make that data useable for the intended purpose. This can be a time consuming and costly endeavor. ITP has created the TRC to provide members with the resources to assist in, and sometimes eliminate, this cost. The TRC provides many types of technical resources to support the integration data /documents into the member’s environment. TRC can provide a service as simple as converting an extract file into the format required by a member’s system or providing a set of APIs or as complex as developing, populating, and maintaining a member’s website. Members should view the TRC as an extension of their own IT Department. The TRC charges members based on the particular request. Since the TRC has no learning curve when it comes to the MFIP, requests are delivered in a timeframe and at a cost that generally will be more efficient than any other alternative.
